I hope that you're enjoying the nice summer weather! Last Sunday in worship we kicked off our summer of:
 
Better Together
Busy Hands
Random Acts of Kindness
 
If you were unable to join us for worship last week, we handed out our Louisburg UMC Random Acts of Kindness cards. The idea is that as the Holy Spirit "nudges" us to be the hands of Christ, we can leave a Random Acts of Kindness card to try and spread kindness all over Louisburg and beyond! We have the cards at church on the Connection Point. When you are able to share a Random Act of Kindness be sure to let us know about your experience!
 
This Sunday is a very special day! Becky Berg and her daughter Shelly George will be sharing an update about the Tusonge Ministries which is a ministry of our church and share about their recent trip to Uganda. I hope you will be sure to join us at on Sunday at 8:30 or 10:30 in person, or through one of our streaming services. For June and July we will celebrate Holy Communion the first Sunday of the month. Therefore, we will also be sharing Holy Communion together on Sunday!
 
After the 10:30 service, we will also have a meeting about the youth and local mission trips for the summer. If you cannot make it to the meeting but are interested in the mission trips, please email Shawna at shawna.heien@lousiburgumc.org to let us know who and how many people in your family are interested. Everyone in the church is welcome to join in! 
 
Coming up at the end of June, I will be hosting 3 all church Town Hall Meetings. The purpose of these meetings is to:
  1. Learn about and discover our spiritual gifts
  2. Discuss our church's ministries
  3. Dream and think about the future building, new ministries, etc

Next, I'd like all the kids of our church to sign up for Morning Out & VBS!  Click on the dates below to register!

VBS (Pre-K - 5th): July 18-21, 6pm-8:45pm
VBS volunteers should sign up in person with Marilou in the lobby or via email: marilou.simmons@louisburgumc.org
 
If you have a K-5th grade child interested in Alison Moore's Musical Theater Camp which is being held at our church again this year (June 21 - June 24, 10am-Noon).
 
I look forward to seeing all of you this month as we worship together, serve together, and grow in our faith together, because we are all Better Together!
