Big Announcement, Christmas Eve Services, Sunday Service

Greetings Louisburg UMC,

Christmas is here! Our candlelight Christmas Eve Services will be Thursday night at 7:00 pm, and Friday at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. I hope that you will join us as we celebrate the birth of Jesus!

As I write to you today, we are excited to announce that we have hired a Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries! Colton Laptad will begin his ministry with us in January! Here is a message from Colton:

"Hey y'all, Farren and I are so excited to be joining your congregation this next year! I grew up in Olathe and met Farren while we both were at John Brown University in Arkansas. We got married just over a year ago and are currently living in Roeland Park. Right after we got married we went overseas to help lead a Christian gap year program in Scotland called SoulEdge for six months. Since returning to the country, we both have begun working full time for Youthfront Camp LaCygne. I help direct the camp and she helps run the overnight camp programming. Together, we love mountain biking, going to the dog park with Odie (our retriever husky puppy) and hanging out with friends. Personally, I also love board games, the NBA, and reading. 

We are both looking forward to serving and breaking bread with you all! I am excited to get to know the youth in the congregation and be a pastoral presence for them. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!"

We will welcome Coltio and Farren to our church on Sunday, January 9 and to Youth Group on Wednesday, January 12.
